Remember These In Prayer:

Karen Stevens remains at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville as she undergoes treatments for cancer.  Surgery has not yet happened, and will likely not be scheduled until the first of next week, reported her daughter Anna Eller.  Pray for God’s blessings to be upon her.

Jordan Simerly is at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas this week to consult with specialists about his recent diagnosis of lymphoma.

Mary Lou Cooper will soon meet with specialists after learning that her recent biopsies of lymph nodes had cancer cells.

Kim Bacon, sister-in-law to Jerry Bacon, came through her heart cath on Wednesday, and no additional problems were found.  Her doctors speculate that the pain she was experiencing was from the recent heart cath procedure.

Butch Holder, father of Heidi Elliott, is recovering from surgery on Tuesday in Greenville, South Carolina.  The surgeon said that things went better than expected.  Butch will follow up in about six months to make sure all is continuing to go well.

Michael Heim, son-in-law of Sheila and David Frakes, is undergoing tests following a recent episode of kidney stones.  Our prayers for all to turn out well have been requested.

The family of Carl Cornett, a member of the Northeast Church of Christ who was known to several here at Central, is mourning his passing on Wednesday evening at Mountain Home VA Medical Center.  He had battled pneumonia for several days, and had to undergo major surgery during that time.  Carl’s wife, Jessie, passed away just over a month ago.

The family of Odas Watson, a member of the Shady Valley Church of Christ, is mourning his passing on Wednesday.  In June of last year Kent Earnest baptized Odas into Christ after studying with him.  How blessed it is to know that our departed loved ones are in Christ!

Kate, 47-year-old sister-in-law to Ron Skipper, was found unresponsive on Wednesday morning.  Ron reported on Wednesday evening that a neurologist had pronounced her brain dead.  Keep the family in your prayers.

Trey England responded to the invitation Wednesday evening to ask for prayers for God’s help in dealing with anxiety issues he is experiencing.  Let’s lift up our brother in our prayers.

An All-Day Seminar will be held at the Main Annex of Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City on Friday.  About 52 men are signed up for the seminar, in addition to about 8-10 other inmates who will help with various duties.  Say a prayer that much good will come from this event.
