“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”  James 4:8

Daily Bible Reading: Ezekiel 46:1 – 47:23 (“And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”)

This Week’s Memory Verse: “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”  Colossians 1:9

Tomorrow Is The Lord’s Day!  Though we’ll again not be meeting at the building, we will offer Bible study and worship at the usual times.  An email will go out later today with all the details and links for our online offerings.  Please be sure to join us for each of these services.  Don’t neglect your soul during these trying times.

Pray For Our Elders: There are some around us who are returning to modified forms of daily life.  Even some churches are beginning to open their doors.  Our elders are studying the situation closely, and prayerfully contemplating what is best for Central.  Pray that God will guide them to do what is right and best.  In the meantime, let’s continue following safe practices to avoid infecting ourselves or others.

You’ve Got To See This!  If you missed yesterday’s video entitled “With Love, To Central, From Central”, go to this site to watch it.  Tim Haywood put together photos of Central’s past activities interspersed with video greetings from some of our Central family.  It reminds us of how special this church is, and how dear our relationships are in Christ.

A Sequel Is Planned: Tim Haywood plans to produce another video with greetings from more Central members.  Submit your own 5-10 second greeting, and any photos you have of activities at Central.  Get in touch with Tim if you’re not sure how to transfer your material to him.

“Worry And Anxiety” is the title of a video recently released by World Video Bible School.  Click here to watch Don Blackwell discuss the Bible’s plan to get a grip on fear, and to live a life of peace.  It’s part of a series of videos entitled “Crisis And The Creator”.  Share these with friends; they’re looking for peace, too.

Remember These In Prayer:

Jade Vance, daughter of Stephanie and Isaac Vance, was discharged on Friday from Niswonger Children’s Hospital after being there nearly two weeks.  A dangerous and large blood clot was removed from her leg.  Pray that Jade will continue to do well.

Gene Arrowood continues his recovery at Quillen Rehab Hospital.  At last report he was making progress, and remains optimistic of fully recovering.  Keep our brother in your prayers.

Karen Stevens learned in a visit on Tuesday with her surgeon in Knoxville that there is a bump on her mastectomy site that he fears is a tumor regrowth.  She has an appointment to meet with her oncologist next Thursday to learn more.  She asks that we pray with her for a good outcome.

Zakery Stewart, son of Kasey and Clayton Stewart, suffered a fracture of his wrist in a fall on Wednesday.  The bone was reset and it is hoped that it will heal without surgery.  Kasey reported Thursday evening that Zakery’s pain has been brought under control.

June Selby continues in rehab in the Skilled Nursing Unit of Cornerstone Village.  Keep her and Fred both in your prayers.

Lynda Gray is now back at her home after spending several days in rehab following a sprained ankle and an injury to her knee in a fall.  A friend from Newport, Dianna, is staying with her to give assistance.

Am I A Helper?  *  “When I was a child and would see scary things on the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers.  You will always find people who are helping.’”  (Fred Rogers)  *  “See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.” (1 Thessalonians 5:15)
