Remember These In Prayer:

Teresa Haywood, mother of Tim Haywood, was moved back into ICU late Sunday evening after her condition worsened.  She was unresponsive, and vital signs were not good.  Say a prayer that the Lord will be with this sister in Christ, as well as for her husband Bill, preacher for the Abingdon (VA) Church of Christ.

Lucy Hagerty is scheduled to undergo back surgery today at Johnson City Medical Center.  Say a prayer that all will go well, and she will be given relief and recovery.

Edna Hayes was likely discharged from Franklin Woods Hospital on Sunday afternoon, though we had no confirmation of that.  She is recovering from gallbladder surgery last week.

Skyler Strong is now undergoing dialysis as her kidney function has dropped further.  Pray for God’s help in finding a kidney for transplant, and that Skylar will do well until that time comes.

Jazmine Ryan will be in treatment for the next 3-5 months at a facility near Nashville with the hope of helping her through her recent emotional and mental struggles. Megan and Greg would appreciate our prayers during this time.

Tom and Jacquelyn Ellis were back in worship with us on Sunday morning.  Jacquelyn continues to work with her doctors to find better health.

Zella Bernick, young daughter of a friend of Marie Johnson, has been hospitalized in Nashville since Thursday.  Two types of infection have been identified in her lungs, and a third type somewhere else in her body is suspected.  She continues to have fever.  Marie asks that we say a prayer for God’s help.

Houston Bacon, father of Jerry Bacon, is recovering at home from surgery last week to open blocked arteries in his leg.  If all goes well, he will undergo similar surgery on his other leg.

The family of Don Hodge, husband of Judy Hodge, continues to mourn his passing last week.  A graveside service will be held this morning at 10:00 at Mountain Home VA National Cemetery.  You may view his obituary by clicking here.  Don was the brother-in-law of Karen Curtis and Kay Napier.

The family of Eddie Rose, cousin of Dean Neal, is mourning his passing on Friday.  Dean asks for our prayers for God’s comfort on the family.  You may see Eddie’s obituary at this site.

Monday Night Service: Join others from your Central family in gathering at the building at 6:00 for Monday Night For The Master.  We’ll enjoy a delicious meal together, have a brief time of prayer, and engage in simple acts of service.  Come join us!

Still Gathering Soups And Juices: At last count we were still short of our goal on cans of chunky soup and 64-ounce bottles of fruit juices.  If you can help, please bring these in as soon as possible.  This Saturday, May 4, is our annual “Streams of Service”.

Make The World Better:  *  “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”  (Anne Frank)  *  “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”  (Galatians 6:10)
