“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”  James 4:8

Daily Bible Reading: John 14:1-31 (“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”)

This Week’s Memory Verse:For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:10

Remember These In Prayer:

Eli Clark, young son of Haley and Josh Clark, came through his arthroscopic hernia repair surgery on Friday, and was back home shortly after.  All seemed to go well.

Claudette Rhea was to have undergone gallbladder surgery on Friday.  We have had no update on how things went.  Pray for God’s power to help her heal quickly.

Lucy Hagerty remains at Lakebridge Health Care to receive therapy and gain strength following surgery last week on her leg.  She is in room 101 and appreciates visits and prayers.

Carol Melton, former member of Central, is scheduled to undergo surgery next Wednesday in Montgomery, Alabama to remove a tumor that has been discovered in her abdomen.  Nothing is yet known about the nature of this tumor.  She asks that we pray with her for all to turn out well.

One among us will be scheduled soon for tests for a possible health condition.  They don’t wish to be identified, but they would appreciate our prayers for a good outcome.  The Lord will know the one for whom you’ll be praying.

Katie Selby, granddaughter-in-law of June and Fred Selby, is serving with her husband Tyler as a missionary in Ethiopia.  Earlier this week Katie was involved in a serious accident in which she was not at fault, but it has been a traumatic ordeal for all.  Prayers for God’s comfort and strength have been requested, as well as thanksgiving that things have worked out for good in ways that they normally wouldn’t.  Tyler is the son of Gary, June and Fred’s son who lives in Johnson City.

The family of Taryn Brooks continues to mourn her passing on Wednesday in an automobile crash in Texas.  Taryn was a 33-year-old sister in Christ, and the granddaughter of Janet and Buck Griffith, dear friends of Glenda and Marshall Danby.  You may see her obituary by clicking here.  Pray for God’s comfort to be upon all of her family and friends.

Tomorrow Is The Lord’s Day!  Show your love for the Lord by preparing your heart to give worship that is in spirit and truth.  Join us for Bible class at 9:15, and for worship at 10:15 and at 6:00.

A New Birth!!  On Thursday – Valentine’s Day! – Junia Camille Leitnaker arrived in the world, the firstborn of Abbi and Dylan Leitnaker.  Junia weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 20 inches long.  Feeling very blessed again are grandparents Lucy and Perry Jernigan.

Mark The Date: On Saturday, April 6 a Ladies Day will be presented at our building, and all ladies are invited.  More details will soon be released, but we urge you to mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend.  Invite someone to come with you, too.

To Get Or To Give?  *  “From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.”  (Arthur Ashe)  *  “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”  (Acts 20:35)
