“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”  James 4:8

Daily Bible Reading: Micah 7:1-20 (“Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance?  He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love.”)

This Week’s Memory Verse:Enter by the narrow gate.  For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.” Matthew 7:13

Remember These In Prayer:

Grace Muse, Luanne Hoilman’s mother and a long-time servant of the Lord’s church, remains at Johnson City Medical Center as her condition declines.  She suffered a stroke Thursday evening at her home, and there is bleeding on her brain.  She is being kept comfortable.  (When a regular room opens up they plan to move her out of ICU.)  Prayers are greatly appreciated.

Dean Hayes has been at Johnson City Medical Center following a fall last week that resulted in broken ribs, a punctured lung, and damage to his spleen.  He was doing better on Saturday afternoon.

Dave Clark continues to recover at home following an outpatient surgical procedure on Friday.

Ryan Pickens, grandson of former Central member Charlotte Chapman, is recovering from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in West Tennessee Friday morning.  His injuries were not as serious as first thought, though he is very sore.

Don Burleson, a friend of Jane and Jim Fillers and Marie Johnson, has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.  He will travel soon to Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville, Florida to consult with specialists.

Joanna Torgerson responded to the invitation Sunday morning requesting prayers for issues she is worried about.  Pray that God’s peace will be upon our sister.

Reaching Far And Wide!  We heard that Sunday morning’s worship service was heard via audio live streaming by at least two different ones in Florida and a couple in Sterling, Virginia who were snowed in.  Others, unable to get out, were listening closer to home.  We often hear good comments about this ability to worship when health or weather prevents from assembling with the saints.

Character:  *  “Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking.”  (H. Jackson Brown, Jr.)  *  “Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”  (Ephesians 6:22-25)
