Tom Ellis is now scheduled for a heart catheterization on Wednesday, December 26.  Our prayers for good results have been requested.

Sherrell Shepard is back home after a visit to the ER on Thursday with chest pains.  Tests did not detect any heart issues, but he was found to have low potassium and acid reflux.

Robert Smith fell in his room a few days ago and bruised his tail bone, making it painful to sit in certain positions.  He remains under hospice care at The Waters of Johnson City.  Say a prayer that our brother will quickly heal, and that his health will improve in the coming days.

David Fornash, father of Geri Mahaley, has been diagnosed as having Interstitial Lung Disease.  It is an illness he has apparently had for some time, and it is now affecting his heart.  His doctors can only treat the symptoms, and the long-term outlook is not promising.  He will meet with a specialist on the 26th to discuss options.  Matt reports that David is in “unusually good spirits” despite this diagnosis.

Many of our Central family will be traveling for the holidays.  Pray for God to watch over all while on the roads, and to bring us safely home in due time.

Appointments With The Lord: Tomorrow we are called to gather as a church to worship the Lord in spirit and truth.  Make your plans to be with us at 9:15 for Bible study, and at 10:15 and at 6:00 for worship.

A New Year With God’s Word!  What better way to begin 2019 than with a plan to read more of God’s word?  You’ll find two different Bible reading schedules at the main Welcome Center; take one or both, and find the best fit for you.  Take an extra for someone you care about.

Old GA Quarterlies?  If you have old copies of the Gospel Advocate Quarterly (also known as the “Foundations” studies), Chig Gunter can get these into the hands of Christians in other countries.  Bring them to the building and leave them at either of the Welcome Centers.
