Remember These In Prayer:

The family of Greta Copas, mother of Ginger Whitson and grandmother of Jarret Whitson, is mourning her passing on Monday.  The family will receive friends today from 12:00 to 1:30 at Morris Baker Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 1:30.  Pray for God’s comfort to be upon them.
The family of Suzanne Gunter continues to mourn her passing on Wednesday morning at Franklin Woods Hospital following a struggle with pancreatic cancer.  They will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 at the building of the Central Church of Christ, and a memorial service will follow at 4:00.  Pray for God’s peace to be in the hearts of all who loved this woman of God.
Ron Tester is continuing his treatments for the tumor that was found in his brain several weeks ago.
Bill Watkins, preacher for the Crieve Hall Church of Christ in Nashville, came through his open heart surgery on Wednesday.  All reportedly went well, according to Jim Cooper; three bypasses were done.  Keep this servant of the Lord in your prayers as he recovers.
Evie Koen, 3-year-old daughter of Heather and Daniel Koen, is being considered as a candidate for brain surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center.  She has been suffering serious seizures for much of her life, and these have intensified.  Daniel is the preacher for the Shady Valley (TN) Church of Christ.  Pray that the right decisions will be made, and that Evie’s life can be restored to a normal childhood.
Daniel Norris is continuing his rehab in Lakeland, Florida following surgery a few weeks ago.  He is aiming to return to his position as a starting pitcher for the Detroit Tigers.  Keep our brother in your prayers.

To Be A Champion:  *  “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit.  Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.‘”  (Mohammad Ali)  *  “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”  (1 Corinthians 15:58)
