Daily Bible Reading: Psalm 51:1 – 54:7 (“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”)

Remember These In Prayer:

Jane Fillers continues to recover at home from a lithotripsy  procedure on Monday.  Marie Johnson, her daughter, reported Wednesday evening that she is feeling some better, though she is still on antibiotics.  A stent will be removed from her kidney on Friday, and Jane will be watched closely to make sure an infection doesn’t develop.  Prayers for continued recovery are needed.  It will likely take several weeks for Jane to return to full strength.

Danny Hoilman will undergo a surgical procedure on Friday afternoon in Greeneville.  It will be an outpatient procedure, but he will be put to sleep.  Danny and Luanne ask for our prayers that all will go well.

Skylar Strong was to have undergone a surgical implant of a catheter on Wednesday at Holston Valley Medical Center.  The catheter will make possible the home dialysis that Skylar will begin in a couple of weeks.  Keep Skylar in your prayers, as well as her parents, Judy and Randy Strong.

Judy Jones has been battling pneumonia and other difficult health issues in recent days.  Say a prayer that she will soon be feeling much better.

Lucy Hagerty was discharged Wednesday to go home from Franklin Woods Hospital after undergoing skin graft surgery on her leg on Monday.  Keep Lucy in your prayers as she works to regain her strength; she is to soon undergo back surgery.

Ron Edlin, older brother of Joyce Hall, is recovering from open heart surgery on Tuesday in Middletown, Ohio.  His daughter reports that he did well on Wednesday, though he was in significant pain.  Your continued prayers for him would be greatly appreciated.

The 19-year-old son of Joe Guy has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and our prayers have been requested.  Joe is the Sheriff of McMinn County, Tennessee, and a member of the Lord’s church.  Tabitha Jenkins said the lymphoma is thought to be a kind that is treatable.

Jade Vance, daughter of Stephanie and Isaac Vance, is on a trip to Houston, Texas with her robotics class from David Crockett High School.  Our prayers for safety in travel have been requested by Dean and Kenn Neal, Jade’s grandparents.

Endure!  *  “If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.  Do good anyway.  If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.  Succeed anyway.  The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.  Do good anyway.  Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.  Be honest and frank anyway.”  (Kent M. Keith)  *  “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”  (Matthew 5:11,12)
