Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is
patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all
should reach repentance.”)
This Week’s Memory Verse: “But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” Ephesians 4:7
Remember These In Prayer:
Bandy Tester will undergo surgery on Friday to repair
the heel that was crushed in a fall last week at her home. The earlier
reports of dislocated toes and ankle do not now appear to be an issue.
Her recovery will be long and difficult.
Ronnie Rogers, husband of Carol Trent’s sister Cindy,
is being evaluated after an MRI detected a brain tumor on Sunday. Our
continued prayers have been requested for Ronnie, Cindy, and their son
C.J.
Larry Smith, father of Conor McKinnis’ boss, has just
been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He will be seeing a specialist
soon, but the family asks for our prayers as this process gets underway.
Kathy Kidwell, a resident of Watauga Square Apartments
who participates in our Bible studies and worship there, was to have
undergone procedures on her leg on Monday. We’ve had no update on how
things went.
Don Burleson, friend of Jane and Jim Fillers, has been in ICU at Johnson City Medical Center as he battles pneumonia.
Jim Roten, cousin of Fred Roten, is in declining in
health as he remains hospitalized in Ohio. Doctors have said they are
unable to do anything more to help him.
The family of Ruth Newton, wife of Roy Newton,
continues to mourn her passing on Sunday afternoon after a brief battle
with lung cancer. Roy is known to several at Central through his
tireless labors for the Kingdom in various ways. You may view Ruth’s
obituary by clicking here.
Some of our youth group are in Nashville this week,
working with the Inner City Ministry. Say a prayer that they will be
kept safe and healthy, and that their faith will grow.
Phone Number Correction: The phone number we gave in Sunday’s bulletin for Wanda Lewis
was for the office; her personal number is 904-432-1503. She is now
living in an assisted living community in St. Augustine, Florida. She
misses all of her Central family.
The Numbers Are Climbing

Work To Be Done: * “In
every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are
wounds to heal. In every heart there is the power to do it.” (Marianne Williamson) * “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In
the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see
your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
