VBS Outline—Marooned: Steady Faith in Shifting Sands
June 2nd–5th, 2019 – 6:30–8:00 p.m. each night
Have you ever felt afraid, lost, or alone? Those are not good feelings! Our Vacation Bible School will focus on the reality of the situation in those moments. Are we really alone? Are we really lost? Do we have Someone who is there so we don’t have to feel afraid? Let’s learn more about the One who is there for us all the time, but especially in those moments, and let’s learn how we can have a more steady faith no matter what is going on around us or how we feel on the inside.
Lessons Include
Sunday Night (Lesson One): The Challenge to See—Elijah in the Presence of God (1 Kings 19:1–18) King Josiah and the Lost Scroll (2 Chronicles 34:1–33)
Monday Night (Lesson Two): The Challenge to Know—King Josiah and the Lost Scroll (2 Chronicles 34:1–33)
Tuesday Night (Lesson Three/Four): The Challenge to Trust—Jehoshaphat Trusts in God (2 Chronicles 20:1–24) and The Challenge to Obey—Jonah Runs from God (Jonah 1:1–3:5)
Wednesday Night (Lesson Five): The Challenge to Believe—Thomas Doubts Jesus’s Resurrection (John 20:24–29)
There will be classes for all ages: cradle roll through adult. Come join us for a fun time as we learn about our great God who cares for us!
