Remember These In Prayer:

The coronavirus continues to spread, and there seems to be no end in sight.  Let us commit ourselves to more fervent prayers for God’s blessings on those who are working to find ways to bring this outbreak to an end.

Gina Schmidt came through her surgery on Wednesday, and all went well.  If all goes according to plan she will be discharged to return home today.  Pray for the Lord’s strength to help her recover quickly.

Karen Stevens will be coming home today, she reported Wednesday evening.  She stated that she is doing well, but her stamina is low.  It would be best for a few days that there be no visitors.  She is anxious to be back with us in worship.

Joyce Hall remains at Franklin Woods Hospital as treatments continue to deal with the cellulitis in her leg.  Today an MRI is planned to try to find the source of these infections.  She is feeling better, but there no indication yet when she might be coming home.

Mary Lou Cooper met with an oncologist in Johnson City on Wednesday, and reported that plans are underway to begin chemotherapy and radiation treatments in the next few days.  She writes that “I am so thankful for the prayers that have been offered for me.”

Jennifer Easterling is scheduled to have radioiodine ablation on Wednesday, March 4 at Holston Valley Medical Center.  This is a treatment related to her recent thyroidectomy.  Prayers would be appreciated that all will go well.

Mary Nell Lilly is recovering at home after being diagnosed with a blood clot in her leg.  Pray for God’s power to keep her safe and healthy during this time of healing.

Evadna Fruewirth is now at NHC HealthCare where she is undergoing physical therapy to help her rebuild her strength.  She will likely remain there for several more days, and would be happy to have visitors.  She is in room 318A.

The family of Sandy Smith, sister of Kenn Neal, is mourning her unexpected passing over the weekend, likely due to a heart attack.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 until 1:00 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with a funeral service at 1:00.  To view her obituary, click on this link and scroll down to “Sandra Kay Smith”.  Keep Kenn and all of the family in your prayers.

Jerry & Carolyn McNeil and Tommy, Edna, & Larry Crumley, all dear friends of Mary Nell Lilly, are experiencing serious health problems.  Our prayers for their improvement have been requested.

Whitney Bowling, best friend to Holly Lilly (daughter of Mary Nell), is hospitalized with serious health problems.

Angelina Fontana, niece of Jan Holden, is dealing with hernia-related health issues.  Jan has asked that we pray for her.

Inner Conflict:  *  “Sometimes I am two people.  Johnny is the nice one.  Cash causes all the trouble.  They fight.”  (Johnny Cash)  *  “For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?”  (Romans 7:22-24)
