In order to continue facilitating our education programs at Central, we are implementing different avenues in order to be a part of certain classes. At the moment, classes are still scheduled for the same time as normal. Please see the Daily Focus or click here for more information regarding which classes are available as well as links to connect to classes and worship.

One program that we are using in order to facilitate interactive classrooms is called Zoom. It is suggested to use either an IOS or Android device, as this is the easiest setup process and easiest to use. You only need to use one of the suggestions listed below. Here is how it will work on your end (the class attendees).

1.     IOS and Android Devices—If Link Is Provided—This is the easiest approach.

  1. Download the Zoom app.
  2. Click the link provided in the email or text.
  3. Enter your name, if prompted.
  4. Allow access to the microphone (if you would like to speak).
  5. Select “Call using Internet Audio.”
  6. After the initial setup, you will just need to click on the link provided. If it says that it is waiting on the host, try leaving the meeting (there is a button in the top right corner that says “Leave”) and going back in.
  7. The microphone and video will most likely be turned off when you join, but if you click the microphone and video icon at the bottom of the screen, this can turn on those functions.

1.     IOS AND ANDROID DEVICES—IF No LINK IS PROVIDED

  1. Download the Zoom app.
  2. Open the app and click “Join a Meeting.”
  3. Enter the Meeting ID.
  4. Enter your name.
  5. Click “Join.”
  6. Select “Call using Internet Audio.”
  7. After the initial setup, you will just need to enter the number provided. If it says that it is waiting on the host, try leaving the meeting and going back in.
  8. The microphone and video will most likely be turned off when you join, but if you click the microphone and video icon at the bottom of the screen, this can turn on those functions.

2. Desktop or Laptop Computer—Initial Setup—With Link Provided

  1. Click the link in the email for the particular class you would like to join.
  2. This will open a window to download Zoom. You may need to click on “download & run Zoom.”
  3. Install Zoom to your computer.
  4. This will attempt to log you in immediately.

2.     Desktop or Laptop Computer—Logging In
