L.A. Hamilton

Leland A. Hamilton was born in Chattanooga, TN in April 1936.  He moved to Kingsport with his family in 1952, and was baptized at the Watauga Avenue Church of Christ in Kingsport in 1954 by Bernard Mason.

In 1958 he was married to Betty Broskey in Memphis, TN.  From their marriage have come 4 children and 9 grandchildren.

L.A. received his undergraduate education at Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, TN.  He received the Doctor of Pharmacy degree at UT-Memphis, and practiced retail and hospital pharmacy in the Tri-Cities area for 50 years before retiring in 2009.

He served as deacon and treasurer for the Central Church of Christ in Johnson City prior to his being appointed elder in 1985.

His interests include: conservation, travel, golf, hiking, photography, and sports.
