“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”  James 4:8

Daily Bible Reading: Ezekiel 48:1-35 (“The circumference of the city shall be 18,000 cubits. And the name of the city from that time on shall be, The Lord Is There.”)

This Week’s Memory Verse: “For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.”  2 Peter 2:20

Good “Attendance” Again!  On Sunday morning we had 30 connected through our audio live streaming, 74 on Facebook, and 124 on YouTube.  For Bible class we had 15 connected to Steve Ingram’s study, 10 connected to Greg Ryan’s teen class, and just over 100 were connected to Everson Weekley’s study of Daniel.  About 115 devices were attached for Sunday evening worship for all three delivery sources.  We thank God that you are staying “connected”!

Distracted Worship!  Former Central members Keaira and Jacob Witten have been worshiping with us in recent weeks.  On Sunday afternoon Keaira confessed that they would have to finish watching Sunday’s worship service later, as both of their young sons had mishaps: one decided to make hearing aids out of play dough, and the other tripped a breaker while examining a wall outlet!  Both seem to be OK, she said, though a trip to the doctor today is being planned.  It helps us realize that many of you deal with distractions as you worship with little ones there with you.  (But what a blessing it is to have them there!)

Serious Discussions Are Underway among the elders and ministers about reopening our building for worship assemblies.  Please know that when that comes there will be guidelines we’ll ask you to follow, as the threat of the coronavirus has by no means passed away.  If you have thoughts you’d like to add to the discussion, get in touch with the elders soon.

A Vault Of Edification And Encouragement can be found on Central’s YouTube Channel, which you can find here.  Stop by soon to watch installments you may have missed, and share the link with others.  It’s a simple way to do evangelism!

A Call For More Videos: Tim Haywood plans to compile another video soon to share video greetings and photos.  If you enjoyed last Friday’s “Encouragement For The Day”, why not share your own greeting to the congregation?  If you’d like, we’ll even send someone to your home to record your greeting from your porch (while maintaining a safe distance, of course)!  Contact Tim if you have a video or photos to share.

Remember These In Prayer:

Danielle Moze was admitted to Franklin Woods Hospital on Sunday morning with severe abdominal pain.  She was to have undergone gall bladder surgery that afternoon, but we have received no confirmation that the surgery took place.  Pray for the Lord’s blessings to be upon her.

Karen Stevens is scheduled to meet with her oncologist this Thursday after a growth was found in the area of her recent surgery.  She asks for our prayers for this consultation.

Gene Arrowood continues to make excellent progress in his recovery from a recent brain bleed.  He is working hard to fully recover, and is scheduled to be discharged on Saturday from Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital.  Keep our brother in your prayers.

Jade Vance is now at home after being discharged last Friday from Niswonger Children’s Hospital.  She spent close to two weeks there as doctors removed a large blood clot from her leg.

June Selby continues in rehab in the Skilled Nursing Unit of Cornerstone Village.  Keep her and Fred both in your prayers.

Consequential Choices:  *  “Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them.”  (W. Clement Stone)  *  “Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”  (1 Corinthians 15:33)
