Remember These In Prayer:

Lee Davis is scheduled to undergo lab work, meet with his doctors, and begin chemotherapy this morning at Vanderbilt Medical Center.  Following the initial infusion, he and Carla will return home to continue his chemo treatments on an outpatient basis.

Julie Muse, sister of Luanne Hoilman, is scheduled to undergo cataract surgery today.  Luanne asks that we pray for the Lord to be with Julie and her various health challenges.

Kristi, sister-in-law to Leslie Ellis, underwent five hours of surgery on Friday to remove her spleen and part of her stomach, as doctors worked to stop the bleeding.  Continued prayers are requested.

Wendy Clark, sister-in-law to Gay Clark, is making slow progress after her recent emergency surgery for a perforated bowel.  She is now off the ventilator and dialysis machine, and is talking some.  She remains hospitalized in Texas.

Lynda Gray is recovering from recent knee replacement surgery at Princeton Rehab on Princeton Road, room 712.

Lucy Hagerty is at Agape Rehab Center as she recovers from multiple hip surgeries.  She is scheduled to consult with her surgeon on Tuesday.

Sarah O’Bryan, the ETSU student who was hospitalized last week with severe thyroid issues, was back with us in worship last night.  She reports feeling much better, and is ready to resume her studies.

Baptized Into Christ!  On Sunday morning Corrie Lyons was baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of her sins.  Corrie is the daughter of Amanda (“Red”) and Randall Lyons, and granddaughter of Susan and Mike Lyons.  She had been talking about this decision with her mother for well over a year.  Pray that Corrie will grow and thrive in her new walk with Christ.

Monday Night For The Master will meet this evening at 6:00.  Come join us for a meal, a brief time in prayer, and simple ways to serve the Lord.  We’d love to have you join us!

Ladies Retreat Postponed: The retreat for sisters in Christ that had been planned for the first weekend of October at High Rock Bible Camp has been postponed.  It will hopefully be rescheduled for the spring.

Moving This Week: Last night at worship we said our farewells to Gail and Steve Sides, who will be moving this week to the Savannah, Georgia area.  We have been blessed by their presence, and pray they will have a smooth transition.

How Do I Take Life?  *  “When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.”  (Gilbert K. Chesterton)  *  “Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  (Ephesians 5:20)
