This Week’s Memory Verse:Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.”  Matthew 7:21

Remember These In Prayer:

Jane Fillers came through her lithotripsy treatment on Monday evening, and all went well according to Jim.  She was to have been discharged later in the day to return home.  Pray that she will have a full and rapid recovery.

Lucy Hagerty came through her skin graft surgery on Monday, and is at Franklin Woods Hospital.  There is not yet any word on how long she will remain there.  All reportedly went well; it is hoped this is the last stage in helping the leg to heal.

The one for whom we requested prayer on Monday came through the biopsy and learned that the news is good; the mass is benign.  They commented afterward, “God has been so incredibly good to us!”  Amen to that!

Judy Jones has been going through some difficult respiratory issues in recent days.  She has had pneumonia and bronchitis, and is being treated at home with powerful antibiotics.  She would appreciate our prayers for her healing.

Ruth Earnest underwent cataract surgery last week and did well, we learned Monday evening.  Say a prayer that she will strengthen and see great results from this.

Ron Edlin, older brother of Joyce Hall, will undergo open heart surgery this morning at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio.  Three bypasses will be done, and a heart valve is to be replaced.  Your prayers for God’s oversight are requested.

Skylar Strong, 19-year-old daughter of Judy Strong, will have a catheter implanted on Wednesday at Holston Valley Medical Center.  This will be used for the dialysis she must begin soon, as her kidneys are not working sufficiently.   If you have not yet read the information letter concerning her need for a live kidney donor, click here.

Don Hodge, husband of Judy Hodge (a member of the Elizabethton Church of Christ), slipped into a coma on Saturday evening.  A brain tumor was diagnosed in late February.  He is under hospice care at Mountain Home VA Medical Center.

Becky Nidiffer, sister of Jimmy Doyle, is beginning chemotherapy and radiation treatments after cancer was recently diagnosed.  He asks for our prayers.

Ron Jones and his family are mourning the unexpected passing of his sister-in-law in Georgia on Friday.  Pat has asked that we pray for comfort for Ron and for all of the family.

Tim Clark, son of Edie Lowry, is going through a difficult time.  Edie has asked that we pray for him.

Can You Help?  One of our college students has a job lined up this summer for which he needs a few items for a couple of months.  He needs the following: a desk; 1 or 2 bookshelves; some chairs, whiteboards, a TV, a garbage can, and a folding table.  If you have any of these that he can borrow, get in touch with me and I’ll give you the contact information.
