“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”  James 4:8

Daily Bible Reading: Job 36:1 – 37:24 (“The Almighty – we cannot find Him; He is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness He will not violate.”)

This Week’s Memory Verse:Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”  Ephesians 4:32

Remember These In Prayer:

Jonathan French was unable to have the surgery on his foot on Monday as planned.  Scans revealed that more extensive work needs to be done, and this has been scheduled for Wednesday.  He will have to keep weight off this foot for six weeks.

Skylar Strong, 19-year-old daughter of Judy Strong, will be undergoing tests in the next few days to determine how best to help her recover healthy blood levels.  Our prayers have been requested.

Roger Witherspoon is scheduled to undergo an outpatient procedure on Friday to break up scar tissue in his recently replaced knee.  This will be the second such procedure.

Lucy Hagerty was to have been discharged Monday morning from Lakebridge Health Care.  Keep her in your prayers as she continues to recover.

Kathy Kidwell, a resident of Watauga Square Apartments who was baptized last summer, remains at NHC Health Care as she recovers from surgery to repair a broken leg.  She is in room 136, and enjoys having visitors.

Kay Napier is recovering well from her recently broken wrist.  She will visit her surgeon on Thursday to have the staples removed.  She has had very little pain with this injury.

Tommy Gray, the last surviving sibling of June Selby, continues to decline in health as he is being made comfortable at a skilled nursing facility in Jasper, Alabama.

Fellowship Dinner Ahead: On Sunday, March 31 Central will engage in an all-church covered dish dinner, and everyone is invited.  Please bring enough food for you and your family, and a little extra for guests.  Stay for this fellowship and get to know Central family members you’ve not yet met.

And Something Extra … On Sunday, March 31 all of Gene Arrowood’s family from Nashville (quite a large crew!) will be present in honor of his 90th birthday.  They also plan to provide some brief entertainment at the dinner as part of their honor to Gene.  We hope you’ll be able to stay and enjoy this.

Matched!  Congratulations to Josh Clark, who on Friday was matched with a hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for his residence program.  Josh will graduate in May from Quillen College of Medicine.  We are going to really miss Josh, Haley, Eli, and Miles, but we know they are going to do well wherever they go!

Pen Pal Needed: We’ve received a request from another inmate at Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City for someone to write to occasionally.  If you would like to know more about this outreach, or to volunteer for this request, call Linda or Dennis Russell, who coordinate this program.  They’ll provide you with all the details.
